Vintage SIU “Welcome to Little Egypt” Tee
Geographically similar to the Nile region in Egypt, the southern part of Illinois has been referred to as “Little Egypt” since as early as 1799. Taking cues from this nickname, SIU became the Salukis, an ancient Egyptian hunting dog, in 1951. This specific Saluki hails from the 1960s, and we’ve featured him here on our ash tee.
