Vintage Kent State 1954 Refrigerator Bowl Tee
The first of Kent State’s four bowl appearances to date was certainly their most unique. The Refrigerator Bowl of Evansville, Indiana was created by the city’s Junior Chamber of Commerce and JayCees as a tourism gimmick and charity event. The former “Refrigerator Capital of the United States,” Evansville named their bowl game after their most famous export; each team’s star player even entered the field through a prop refrigerator. While Kent State lost to Delaware in the 1954 contest, we still wanted to commemorate their place in one of college football’s oddities.
Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
