“Let’s give a cheer, Carolina is here!” The South Carolina baseball team has been one of the best programs in the nation since the 1970s. Starting with their runners-up finishes in the College World Series in 1975 and 1977, the Gamecocks have made 11 CWS berths with 6 Finals appearances. In 2011, South Carolina became just the sixth school in NCAA history to win back-to-back national championships (falling just short of winning three straight in 2012).
