Only two years after Florida Technical University opened its doors for classes, the entire campus community sought to replace the school’s strange mascot, the Citronaut (an orange alien astronaut). Since the Pegasus was already part of the school’s academic iconography, many suggested “Knights of Pegasus” as a nickname.
