Ol’ Sarge is one of many iconic symbols of Texas A&M and the enduring Spirit of Aggieland. The Spirit of Aggieland is a deep sense of loyalty and respect for the school from all current and former Aggies. Often referred to as the "Keepers of the Spirit" and "Guardians of Tradition," the Corps of Cadets are tasked with keeping their school spirit alive by handing the long list of traditions to the classes of students that come after them.
