In 1924, Purdue benefactors David E. Ross and George Ade financed an ambitious project in West Lafayette to replace Purdue's previous football stadium with something greater. The result, of course, was the aptly named Ross-Ade Stadium, which has served as the home of Purdue football for over a century.
