OSU Brutus Buckeye Shirt
Brutus Buckeye dates back to 1965 when a few OSU students decided that they needed a mascot. A live buck was considered, but for obvious reasons, it was dismissed as a problematic idea.Ā Inspired by the official state tree of Ohio, the buckeye was ultimately chosen to represent Ohio State University. While the costume has gone through a few iterations, Brutus Buckeye is still known and loved by Ohio State fans today!
