We found this “Mizzou” in this unique block type on the head of a Marching Mizzou bass drum. The marching band, also known as The Big “M” of the Midwest, is Missouri’s largest student organization. The Marching Mizzou has humble origins as a 12-member cadet band, but now has students from nearly every major in its ranks. They added majorettes known as the Golden Girls in 1957, named for their gold-sequined uniforms.
