
Minnesota 1979 National Champs Hockey Vintage Tee
Herb Brooks, former University of Minnesota and USA Olympic hockey star, came back home to Minneapolis to coach the Gophers in 1972. By the time he left to coach the 1980 Olympic āMiracle on Iceā team, he had led U of M to three national championships, mostly with Minnesota kids. In his final season, every single player on the team hailed from the state of Minnesota as they beat North Dakota for the 1979 National Championship.
