Coach Lute Olson's squad finished fourth in the Big Ten, but as we all know, all bets are off in the third month of the year. The Hawkeyes defeated VCU, as well as ranked opponents UNC, Syracuse, and Georgetown, to win the East region and head to the 1980 Final Four (which we also commemorated with the 1980 NCAA Final Four logo displayed on the sleeve).
