Vintage Freshman Bucky Badger Tee
In 1940, commercial artist Art Evans created two versions of Bucky Badger for Brown’s Bookstore in Madison. Brown’s was the precursor to the University Bookstore, where UW’s Memorial Library now stands on State Street. This Bucky is wearing a freshman cap, something that underclassmen wore to identify themselves so they could be helped around the Wisconsin campus by the knowledgeable and experienced upperclassmen.
Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
