75th Indianapolis 500 Dad Hat
The 75th running of the Indianapolis 500 took place on May 26, 1991, and was full of firsts. Willy T. Ribbs and Hiro Matsushita became the first African American and Japanese drivers to qualify for the 500, respectively, and for the first time in race history, four family members qualified for the same race (the Andrettis, of course). Despite these firsts, the biggest accomplishment of the race was a "third" -- Rick Mears became the third driver to win the Indy 500 four times.
